The Center for General Education course: “Local Studies: Economics & Industry” was the base for this applied study research. It used scholar John Keller’s (1983) ARCS Model (Attention, Relation, Confidence, and Satisfaction) to detect and elevate college student’s learning motivation and their participation results. The study research was then applied to strategies for course design.
